In IC17: 49 euro ticket is valid in special Intercity to BER

Actually, the German 49 euro ticket is not valid on long-distance trains. But there are some exceptions and another one was added on Friday, November 24, 2023. Passengers at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport can benefit from this.

Specifically, the 49 euro ticket is valid in both directions on the Intercity 17 in the section between Berlin and Elterwerda. The train station at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport is located on the route. Passengers traveling from/to BER in this section can now also use the IC49 with the 17 euro ticket.
