Lufthansa Technik expects to achieve record results in the current financial year. Management assumes that it will be able to exceed the record value of 554 million euros achieved last year.

“The aviation industry is recovering much faster than expected. We benefit from this because, thanks to the great commitment of our employees, we are able to take advantage of many of the resulting opportunities,” says William Willms, Chief Financial Officer of Lufthansa Technik. “We had a very strong summer, particularly in our components area. There is a great demand for material in the market. We continue to score points with customers thanks to, among other things, better material availability compared to competitors.”

The bottom line is that the result after the third quarter of 2023, despite headwinds from the dollar exchange rate and high inflation, is now an adjusted EBIT of 459 million euros (+7 percent). Lufthansa Technik increased its sales to 4,8 billion euros (+20 percent). Lufthansa Technik is also successfully securing business for the future: by the end of September, the company had concluded more than 580 new contracts this year, and around 2022 in 700.
