Lufthansa flies young athletes to Seoul

Under flight number LH718, Lufthansa transported the German athletes and their support staff from Munich to Seoul who were taking part in the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Gangwon (South Korea).

The competitions will take place from January 19th to February 1st in Gangwon Province, northeastern South Korea. A total of 81 decisions will be held in 15 sports. The participants will not only focus on the sporting competition. In addition to striving for personal bests, the young athletes should gain valuable experience with the Olympic ideals of peaceful performance comparison, friendship and international understanding.

At 15:45 p.m. it was “all doors in flight” for the Airbus A350-900 with the registration D-AIXJ and the baptism name “Erfurt” at Munich Airport. A total of 90 young athletes are flying to Seoul (ICN) with Lufthansa.
