Lufthansa once again has to postpone the resumption of the non-stop connection between Munich and Hong Kong. The route has been on pause for a long time.

The Kranich Group has repeatedly announced the comeback of the once popular connection between Germany's second largest airport and the Chinese special administrative region. For a variety of reasons, however, the decision was repeatedly made to postpone the resumption. The summer flight schedule for 2024 was last announced, but this date does not hold either.

Upon request, the company confirmed that it had decided to postpone again because it could only take delivery of ordered aircraft later than contractually agreed with the manufacturer. As part of the evaluations, Lufthansa then decided that the Munich-Hong Kong comeback would be postponed to the 2024/25 winter flight schedule.
