At its most recent meeting, the Supervisory Board of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) prematurely extended the contract of CEO Jost Lammers, which runs until the end of 2024, by a further five years.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Minister of State Albert Füracker, paid tribute to the achievements of the 56-year-old airport boss and congratulated him on extending his contract. “Jost Lammers took over the controls at the airport three and a half years ago. A few weeks later, through no fault of their own, the airport found itself in the middle of the biggest crisis in aviation. With great competence, experience, the necessary sensitivity and the support of the entire airport team, he mastered this enormous challenge with flying colours. The decision to extend the contract early is both a sign of gratitude and a vote of confidence. With Jost Lammers at the helm, the airport will continue to be one of the best airports in the world and Bavaria's gateway to the world!” said Albert Füracker, Bavarian Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen München GmbH.

Jost Lammers has headed the airport company since January 2020 and also holds the position of Labor Director. Lammers has also been President of the Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry (BDL) since June 2022 and was elected Vice President of the world airport association ACI World at the ACI World Annual General Assembly in Barcelona on Monday.
