Negotiations broken off: Edelweiss criticizes Aeropers union

The holiday airline Edelweiss Air criticizes the fact that the Aeropers union broke off negotiations for a new collective employment contract for the pilots on Friday of the previous week.

The carrier announced that it had renewed the offer rejected by the employee representatives and submitted it again. However, this proposal would also have been rejected by the union.

“The specific offer continues to provide for a 15% increase over 4,5 years. “This is against the background that as of January 2023, Edelweiss paid out an additional 2% to all pilots, non-contractually and voluntarily, and in April 2024, large parts of the losses from the Corona period will be credited back to employees,” said the holiday airline in a statement broadcast.
