Nuremberg Airport wins prizes at “Routes Europe”

At the renowned route development conference “Routes Europe 2024” in Aarhus, Denmark, Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg received several awards. The airport was honored with the coveted European Routes Award in the “Airports under 5 million passengers” category. The awards ceremony took place on April 23, 2024 and recognized the airport's outstanding achievements in the areas of airline acquisition and customer service.

The airport received top marks not only from experts, but also from passengers. In a recently published ranking, Nuremberg Airport was voted the best airport in Germany and one of the most popular in Europe. The rating portal HolidayCheck analyzed over 1,48 million reviews on Google and flightradar24. Nuremberg Airport occupies a place among the top 10 in Europe and even first place in Germany.

Airport managing director Dr. Michael Hupe expressed his delight at the awards: “These recognitions underline our closeness to the airline partners and the passengers, whose wishes our employees fulfill with a lot of commitment and passion.”

Christian Käser, Head of Airline Sales at Nuremberg Airport, also emphasized the importance of the award: “The Routes Europe Award is a great recognition and motivates us to continue to provide top performance in the future and to find innovative ways to optimally serve our airline partners to support."

The Routes conferences are meeting points for airlines and airports worldwide to develop routes and markets. An international jury recognizes outstanding sales and marketing ideas. Nuremberg Airport has been awarded the Routes Award for the fourth time, following previous successes in Barcelona 2017, Guangzhou 2018 and Las Vegas 2022.
