In cooperation with Teekanne, a new indoor playground for children was opened at Salzburg Airport. This is located between the restaurants Relay Shop, So Coffee and the Resch & Frisch bakery as well as the Reisewelt travel agency.

The idea originated in the Property & Real Estate Management department, which is responsible for the optimal use of space at the airport. The play area represents real added value, especially for parents who travel with children or visit the airport to pick up guests, for example. Two play equipment in the shape of a jumbo and a helicopter offer fun and entertainment for the little ones. Accompanying persons can now make themselves comfortable on the six airplane seats that have been set up in the kids area.

“An airport is its own little cosmos and a lively marketplace. Customers need catering and retail offerings as well as places that invite them to linger. This is ensured by the catering units on the roof terrace level, on the first floor and in the departure area, as well as the offerings in the shop row on the ground floor. The Kids Area is another component in the space usage concept that is intended to contribute to an optimized customer experience,” says Wolfgang Mittermayr, Head of Property & Real Estate Management.
