In September 2023, Berlin-Brandenburg Airport was used by 2,27 million passengers. Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of around 50.000 passengers, but we are still a long way from the pre-crisis volume.

The then Tegel and Schönefeld airports together had around 2019 million travelers in September 3,3. The BER is still a long way from this value. In total, almost 17,2 million passengers traveled via BER in the first three quarters of this year. In the same period last year, there were around 14,6 million travelers in the first nine months.

Last month, 16.640 aircraft took off and landed at BER, around 500 more than in August 2023. In September of the previous year, 2022, there were around 700 fewer aircraft. In September 2019 there were around 25.700 flight movements.

Last month, a total of 3.212 tons of air freight were loaded at BER. This is an increase compared to September last year, when 2.882 tonnes were loaded, and also compared to September 2019, when 3.017 tonnes were loaded.
