Silversea Cruises shipping company with new managing director

There has been a change in management at the shipping company Silversea Cruises, which is part of the Royal Caribbean Group. The previous managing director Barbara Muckermann has left the company.

She will be succeeded by Bert Hernandez, who previously worked for Royal Caribbean International. Most recently, he served the sister shipping company as Vice President International. According to a press release, Muckermann is leaving Silversea Cruises at his own request to pursue other professional challenges. She had only been at the helm of the Monaco-based shipping company since January of the previous year.
