The Ukrainian low-cost airline Skyup and its Maltese offshoot Skyup MT were able to operate a total of 2023 flights in 10.528. These were almost exclusively wet lease orders for other airlines as well as charter orders fulfilled for tour operators.

Before the Russian Federation's military attack on Ukraine, Skyup was active as a low-cost provider on its own account. Due, among other things, to Ukraine's closed airspace, new sources of income had to be found. In contrast to competitors such as Ukraine International or Bees Airline, it has managed to establish itself as an ACMI and charter provider outside of its home country. In Malta you have launched its own EU branch with Skyup MT. This one has been operationally in the air for some time.

According to the announcement, the two airlines will have had around 2023 million passengers on board in 1,5. Wet lease contracts included Fly Egypt, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Wizz Air Malta, Hisky, Flyone, Tunis Air, Corendon and Tailwind Airlines. Charter flights were carried out both for external tour operators and for the sister company Join Up.
