Summer 2024: Berlin-Brandenburg Airport with 148 destinations

In the 2024 summer flight schedule, passengers at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport are spoiled for choice from a total of 148 destinations in 49 countries. There is some news from Easyjet, Ryanair, Wizz Air and Eurowings, among others.

“Numerous airlines and especially the three major airlines Ryanair, Eurowings and Easyjet are expanding their programs from BER, flying to new destinations or increasing frequency. The offer to North America and Asia is being increased. The plus in this year's summer flight schedule is largely based on the expansion of existing flight connections. Travelers can travel more flexibly to the destinations of their choice. This increases the attractiveness and connectivity of the capital region,” says Managing Director Aletta von Massenbach.

New York travelers can choose from three airlines in the summer months. In addition to United Airlines, Norse Atlantic Airways will resume service on May 1st and will then fly to the Big Apple four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Delta Air Lines will follow with a daily connection from May 10th. Hainan Airlines is increasing its flights to Asia. We then go to Beijing five times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays). The airline has now reached its pre-Corona level. Directly after the summer holidays on September 4th, flynas will take off from BER and offer a new long-haul destination, Jeddah, which will then be flown to three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays).

Ryanair is expanding its flight offering and flying to 54 destinations from BER this summer, including six new destinations. From March 31st, the Irish airline will fly to Castellón in Spain (Wednesdays and Sundays) and to Kaunas in Lithuania (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). Birmingham in England (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and Trieste in Italy (Tuesdays and Sundays) are new to the flight schedule from April 2nd. Dubrovnik in Croatia (Wednesdays and Sundays) follows on April 3rd. From April 28th, the Calabria region will be reconnected. Ryanair then flies to Reggio Calabria Airport (Thursdays and Sundays). Additionally, the airline is increasing frequencies on several routes, including Rome, Manchester, Chania and Tallinn. Overall, Ryanair is offering 15 percent more seats this summer than in the 2023 summer flight schedule.

Eurowings is continuing its growth course and is offering 40 destinations from BER in its summer flight schedule, including seven new destinations. From March 31st, the airline will now fly up to twice a day to Vienna in Austria and Zurich in Switzerland. On May 3rd, a connection to Yerevan in Armenia will be added (Fridays, and from July 13th also Saturdays). From May 4th we will go to Tivat in Montenegro (Thursdays and Saturdays). In July and August, Eurowings also flies to North Africa and Turkey. Tunis in Tunisia will be served from July 15th (Mondays), Adana in Turkey from July 16th (Tuesdays) and Casablanca in Morocco from July 21st (Sundays). Overall, Eurowings is offering eight percent more seats this summer than in summer 2023.

Easyjet is offering more than 50 routes from BER this summer, including five new connections. The airline is flying to Türkiye for the first time. Antalya (Tuesdays and Saturdays) has been on the flight schedule since March 17th. Flights to Izmir (Wednesdays and Saturdays) will take off from April 3rd. With Toulouse (Thursdays and Sundays), a popular destination in the south of France is back on offer from March 31st. Departures to Birmingham in the UK (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Sundays) from April 1st. Just in time for the summer holidays, from July 12th, there will be flights to Salerno (Mondays and Fridays), an attractive Italian destination. In combination with daily flights to/from Naples, this connection is also ideal for tours in the Campania region. The summer destination Bordeaux in France will be offered again this summer. Frequencies to the metropolises of Paris, Rome and Zurich will be significantly increased. Easyjet is increasing the number of seats available by seven percent compared to the same period last year.

Aegean Airlines is expanding its flight offering to Athens by two frequencies per week. From April 22nd there will be departures to the capital of Greece every day and up to 12 times a week. From May 9th, Azerbaijan Airlines will also fly from BER to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Thursdays, three times a week. Croatia Airlines will be flying to Zagreb in Croatia from May 21st (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays).

Iberia Express will fly to Madrid up to four times a day and up to 2 times a week from April 25nd. That's an increase of four weekly flights. Lot will fly to Warsaw up to three times a day from July 3rd. A morning rotation will be added on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. This means that even more connections can be reached in Warsaw.

SAS is significantly expanding its offering from BER. With the start of the summer flight schedule, the airline is doubling its service to Stockholm Arlanda Airport and will then fly twice a day. To Copenhagen the offer increases to up to 16 weekly flights. There are flights to Oslo up to six times a week. Overall, the number of seats available increases by over 80 percent compared to the 2023 summer flight schedule.

Turkey is once again prominent in SunExpress' flight schedule this summer. From June 22nd, the airline will fly to Kayseri (Saturdays) and from June 24th to Diyarbakir (Mondays). In total, SunExpress is offering up to 56 weekly flights to Turkey this summer. Wizz Air is expanding its offering from BER. From March 31.03st A daily connection to Rome is offered. In addition, the frequencies to Budapest and Tirana will be increased again. Vueling will fly 1 times a week and up to three times a day to Barcelona in Spain from April 17st. That's an increase of three flights per week.
