In March 2024, the German capital Berlin-Brandenburg Airport was used by around 1,92 million travelers. This means that there was an increase of 15 percent compared to the same month last year, but it is still significantly below the pre-crisis volume.

In March 2019, the then Tegel and Schönefeld airports had a combined 2,93 million passengers. This means that BER had just over a million fewer passengers in March 2024. 14.636 aircraft took off and landed at BER last month. Compared to the same month last year, the number of flight movements rose by 10,8 percent: 2023 take-offs and landings were registered in March 13.212. In March of the pre-Corona year 2019, there were 24.253 takeoffs and landings in Tegel and Schönefeld.

A total of around 2024 tons of air freight were loaded at BER in March 3.529, which corresponds to an increase of 24,2 percent compared to March 2023. Compared to March 2019 (2.787 tons), the year before Corona, 2024 percent more air freight was loaded in March 26,6.
