According to its own statements, the ground service provider Wisag Aviation carried out the carbon dioxide-neutral handling number 19 on July 2023, 1.000. The customer was the airline Norwegian Air Shuttle.

The proportion of electrically operated apron vehicles has now been increased to 55 percent. This saved an average of 33 kilograms of CO2 per handling, which corresponds to a total of almost 33 tons in 2023.

“Sustainability has top priority for us at WISAG Aviation, but also across the Group. Because in addition to the pure reduction in emissions, our employees also benefit from the use of the electrical apron devices, as they are much quieter and produce almost no pollutants. At BER we now have 55 percent of them in use. We would like to thank our airline partners, especially Norwegian, and the airport with whom we were able to reach this milestone. I'm really looking forward to our next steps together," stresses Carmen Ruck, COO of Wisag Aviation.
