Edelweiss christens HB-JLP “Elm”

The Swiss holiday airline Edelweiss Air has had the Airbus A320 with the registration HB-JLP named “Elm” by the athlete Vreni Schneider.

It is unit number 14 in the fleet of the Swiss sister company. “I am extremely pleased that with the Elm holiday region we have found another sponsoring region in Switzerland where the rare edelweiss actually blooms. We are particularly pleased that we were able to find a godmother in Vreni Schneider, who is still a role model for many athletes far beyond our national borders,” says Markus Gander. In general, the Glarnerland seems to have a good breeding ground for the Edelweiss. After Braunwald, Elm is the second Airbus A320 to bear a name from this canton.
