In 2024, FACC will celebrate its 35th anniversary. Since its founding in 1989, the company has developed from a small team of visionaries from the Fischer Ski & Tennis research department into a global player in the aviation industry. FACC technology is on board in almost every aircraft today.

FACC has been successful on the international market for 35 years. All major aviation manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Bombardier, COMAC, Collins, Rolls Royce and Pratt & Whitney trust in the know-how of the Austrian aviation specialist, which has been using lightweight construction innovations for significant weight savings and the associated lower fuel consumption right from the start Flight operations ensure. In the early 80s, a team of visionaries from the ski manufacturer Fischer focused on researching resilient and ultra-light materials - exactly these technologies were used disruptively in the aviation industry. On October 1, 1989, the then independent department was spun off from the Fischer ski group and FACC (then short for “Fischer Advanced Composite Components”) was founded as a 100% subsidiary of Fischer.

“The spirit of offering the best solutions for its customers and finding new business areas still characterizes FACC even after 35 years,” emphasizes CEO Robert Machtlinger: “The aviation industry has developed extremely dynamically in recent years. Lightweight construction as a cross-sectional technology to meet climate goals in aviation is more in demand than ever. With our global customers in the core segment - civil aviation - and new players on the market (UAM and Space), as a partner of all major OEMs, we can use our innovative strength to help make flying even more sustainable. With the opportunities and perspectives of a global company with locations all over the world, we are now very well positioned to meet the global requirements of the aerospace industry in a targeted manner.”
