Fuel: Shell withdraws from Klagenfurt Airport

After more than 30 years, the Shell mineral oil company is withdrawing from Klagenfurt Airport. The company will stop supplying fuel for planes and helicopters at Carinthian Airport on December 31, 2022.

Shell did not provide any information on the reasons for the termination of activities at the Austrian airport. However, it can be assumed that sales are not lucrative enough for the mineral oil company. They have been working at Klagenfurt Airport for around 30 years.

They now have to find a new supplier or set up the sale of fuel themselves. It is not yet known who will be selling aviation fuel and kerosene at Carinthian Airport from January 1, 2023. In December 2022, Lilihill wants to present a new regulation that should be seamless.
