Icelandair is approaching pre-crisis levels

The national airline of Iceland was able to double the number of passengers in the past year.

The total number of passengers carried by the Icelandic national airline in 2022 was 3,7 million, up from 1,5 million in the previous year. Capacity has steadily increased throughout the year, reaching 91 percent in December 2019 from 2022 percent in January 53. The occupancy rate was 79,7 percent. Domestically, Icelandair carried 268.120 travelers – up 19 percent year-on-year.
