Ita Airways: Lufthansa is the only bidder

The Italian Ministry of Economic Affairs announced that only Lufthansa should be interested in joining Ita Airways. No other offer was received by the deadline, which was 18:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Recently, Air France and Delta Air Lines had also publicly expressed interest, but no declaration of intent had been submitted to the Italian Ministry of Economy by the end of the offer period. Thus is Lufthansa the only bidder. A decision is to be made within a week as to whether to enter into exclusive negotiations with the Kranich Group.
