Last week, 21 additional baggage drop-off machines for the Lufthansa Group were put into operation at Frankfurt am Main Airport. What is also new is that these can also be used outside of the usual check-in times.

Passengers still have the option of handing in their luggage to Lufthansa employees. The new counters also contain the technical components for the biometric check-in procedures that will be possible in the future.

Pierre Dominique Prümm, Member of the Board of Management for Air Transport and Infrastructure at Fraport AG, said: “The new check-in counters offer passengers at Frankfurt Airport a comfortable, modern and efficient travel experience, even during their first stay in the terminal. The use of state-of-the-art technology optimizes the baggage check-in process. My special thanks go to the entire team, which implemented this demanding project in record time. We are working with all our partners to ensure that the pleasant journey for all passengers begins right here at Frankfurt Airport.”
