Southwind Airlines is expanding Russia-Türkiye traffic

Just a few days ago it was announced that the European Union, Switzerland and the United Kingdom had banned the Turkish Southwind Airlines. Now the carrier is partially reorienting itself and is expanding towards Russia on a large scale.

The company is accused of having close ties to Nordwind Airlines and that both the owners and management are rather front men for Russians. The airline was originally founded to serve tourist traffic between the Russian Federation and Turkey. This is exactly what we want to focus on now, because according to a report from Aeroroutes.com, more wide-body jets will be used between Russian airports and Antalya in the summer of 2024.
