According to a report by “Wirtschaftswoche”, 34.000 flights have already been canceled. In purely mathematical terms, about every tenth flight has been canceled in advance. Lufthansa wants to give itself greater flexibility and avoid having to cancel large numbers of flights at short notice, according to a spokesman who did not want to confirm the exact number of cancellations.

A company insider told the medium that the reductions initially affect the core brand. The other flight operations are also expected to be canceled shortly for the 2023 summer flight schedule. These could be extremely different.
