Tap Air Portugal with 15,9 million passengers

Star Alliance member Tap Air Portugal had a total of 2023 million passengers on board in 15,9. This means that 2,1 million more passengers will use the services of this provider than in 2022.

Tap flight utilization was 80,8 percent, 0,8 percentage points higher than in 2022 and an increase of 0,7 percentage points compared to 2019, the last year before the pandemic. The RPK (Revenue Passenger Kilometer, an indicator of air transport productivity) was 16 percent higher than in 2022 and 1,4 percent higher than in 2019.

Tap carried 1,07 million passengers on flights to and from Germany, 9,1 percent more than in 2022. Between Switzerland and Portugal, the number of passengers increased by 20,5 percent to 0,7 million. Across all long-haul routes, a total of 4,6 million passengers were transported, 15,1 percent more than in 2022, an increase of 9,8 percent compared to 2019.

On routes to the United States and Canada, TAP carried 1,46 million passengers, 18,4 percent more than in 2022 and 39,5 percent more than in 2019.  On routes to Brazil, the total number of passengers carried was more than 1,9 Millions. TAP thus recorded growth of 20,3 percent compared to 2022 and 8,4 percent compared to 2019. On the routes to the Portuguese islands of the Azores and Madeira, TAP transported 1,5 million passengers last year, 13,2 percent more than in 2022 and 5,7 percent more than 2019.
