The airline Austrian Airlines wants to create a new image as an attractive employer. The company currently employs 6.000 people, 650 of whom were hired this year.

Austrian Airlines' newly developed employer brand, in collaboration with the strategy and design agency Manyone, is called “Creating Journeys Together” and is based on insights gained from interviews, focus groups, workshops and discussions. Employees, applicants and managers worked together to develop ideas to create an authentic and tangible presence and show who is behind the red-white-red airline. Austrian Airlines offers a warm and open community in which everyone is welcome and can belong.

“A career at Austrian Airlines is a journey that employees can adapt and design according to their individual needs. Since the end of the Corona crisis, we have hired 18 new employees within 1.200 months. This corresponds to around 20% of our workforce. In my opinion, the fact that we are doing this very well shows that we are once again a very attractive employer,” said Austrian Airlines CEO Annette Mann.

With the new employer value proposition “We at Austrian Airlines are your hub to the world. “Move forward with us, grow with us” Austrian Airlines focuses primarily on conveying its corporate values and individual growth opportunities. The love of travel is at the heart of this positioning, which is focused on diversity and inspiration. Austrian Airlines is much more than just a workplace. It is a warm community that cares equally about the concerns of employees and guests and pays particular attention to service and hospitality.

“As a strategic design agency, we can never develop an employer brand alone; this works best in close collaboration with our customers - because a new employer brand should always be created by an intrinsic drive. From day one, the Austrian Airlines team set out on a shared path with great passion and we were able to create an employer brand that ideally reflects the culture, values and future expectations of Austrian Airlines. We are very proud of our joint result,” said Global Managing Partner of Manyone, Guido Woska.
