At the end of 2021, 16.128 people were employed at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports, including all local companies and authorities.
That is 10 percent more than in the previous year. Compared to 2010, the number of people employed at the airport locations has more than doubled. A total of 235 companies are based at the two airports, four percent more than in 2020. “The Leipzig/Halle and Dresden airports are the driving force behind the dynamic development of central Germany. They are location factors for mobility, secure international supply chains and value creation in the region and guarantee continuity for tens of thousands of people in a wide range of fields of employment," says Götz Ahmelmann, CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.
