Emirates airline passengers now have access to a lounge at Düsseldorf Airport after seven weeks of renovations. This is around 800 square meters in size and welcomes travelers with completely new, cream-colored leather seats, new furniture and carpets as well as new lighting and kitchen equipment.

With 115 seats, the Düsseldorf Emirates Lounge is one of the larger in mainland Europe. According to its own information, the carrier maintains such exclusive waiting areas at all German airports in its route network. In the last five months, those in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich were also renovated.

“We continually look for ways to make the travel experience in the air and on the ground even better, and the exclusive Emirates Lounges are an integral part of our ‘Fly Better’ brand promise. The investment in the renovation of all lounges shows the commitment to our passengers and to our airport partners in Germany,” said Volker Greiner, Emirates Vice President North & Central Europe.

The lounge at Düsseldorf Airport is open daily from three hours before departure of Emirates flights EK56 and EK58 and offers a large and monthly changing selection of hot and cold dishes, including numerous vegan options, from the renowned caterer Do & Co, a free bar Service and private shower rooms. Access to the lounges is available to all Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Skywards Platinum or Gold members traveling in Economy Class. Access is also possible by paying a fee.

The lounge at Düsseldorf Airport was officially opened in May 2009 as the 20th Emirates Lounge worldwide. Emirates has been flying from Düsseldorf since 2001 and, with its two daily scheduled flights (Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER), connects the North Rhine-Westphalia region with its Dubai hub and beyond with over 140 destinations worldwide. Emirates is currently the only airline flying the A380 from DUS. In total, Emirates offers over 900 seats daily in a three-class configuration from Düsseldorf.

Emirates operates 39 dedicated airport lounges worldwide, including seven in Dubai and 32 at major airports worldwide, all designed with the same attention to detail and exceptional service. The lounges are one of the many ‘Fly Better’ benefits enjoyed by Premium Class customers on Emirates. The free Emirates chauffeur service picks up first class and business class guests in and around Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg and takes them to the airport. After landing, guests are driven home, to the hotel or to the office. The service is valid in Germany for 80 free kilometers driven. The chauffeur service is available in around 80 current travel destinations.
