The airport operator Fraport AG was able to increase Ebitda by 2023 percent to 14 million euros in the third quarter of 478. This means that the strongest three months have been achieved so far in the company's long history.
Compared to the third quarter of 2022, the surplus was even doubled. The profit is also significantly higher than the value that could be achieved before the corona pandemic. The 14 airports in Greece and Antalya Airport have proven to be particularly strong. These contributed the lion's share of the strong numbers.
This is probably due to the high demand for holiday destinations. At most locations, volumes were significantly higher than before the crisis. The situation is different in Frankfurt am Main, because CEO Stefan Schulte expects that around 2023 to 85 percent of the volume from 90 will be achieved in 2019 as a whole.
In the first three quarters of the current financial year, only 82 percent of the pre-crisis level was achieved. In the recently ended October 2023 it was 88 percent. The Fraport Group predicts that there will be between 2023 and 60 million passengers in Frankfurt am Main by the end of 63,5. The group-wide profit is estimated to be between 1,04 and 1,2 billion euros.
