Salzburg is actually the second largest airport in Austria, but Graz got through the first few months of 2021 better in terms of passenger numbers. The airport in Styria has never fallen below 2.000 passengers per month this year.

In all likelihood, this is also due to the fact that you were almost continuously connected to at least two hubs - Amsterdam and Vienna. Most other federal state airports did not have this privilege.

In the first three months of the current year, Graz had more than 2.000 passengers per month. It's not that much, of course, but it performed better than other federal state airports. Graz has been on a steady upward trend since April 2021.

The impact of vacation flights is clearly visible. In June 2021, for example, there were 13.139 passengers traveling on 392 connections. In July 2021, Graz had 34.513 travelers and 606 flight movements. In August there were fewer connections with 580 movements, but these were obviously better utilized. Graz counted 2021 passengers in August 38.410.
