The airline Smartlynx was supposed to operate a charter flight from Hanover to Hurghada on June 11, 2022 under flight number 6Y806. Actually, because the Airbus A320 with the registration 9H-SLD had to make an unscheduled landing in Cairo on its way from Egypt to Hurghada.

Due to technical reasons, the Smartlynx Malta captain decided that flight 6Y805 must make a stopover in the capital of Egypt. This didn't last a few minutes or hours, but much longer. As a result, the passengers had an “open end” stay in Cairo before continuing to Hanover on Monday with the YL-LDD.

The passengers who wanted to fly to Hurghada with Smartlynx in the 9H-SLD on Saturday also had to hold out until Monday. It didn't start until June 13, 2022 at around 14:40 p.m. The technical problems have thus led to a delay of two days for the holidaymakers.

In addition, the guests who were supposed to fly from Hurghada to Frankfurt on Sunday and the guests who were supposed to fly from Hurghada to Düsseldorf on Monday were stuck because of this incident.

By now one would think that the delays of Smartlynx system have. Despite a plethora of delays and the associated claims for compensation, this airline is expanding according to the press.
The assumption could be that she formally acknowledges the compensation payments and reports to her insurance company but does not pay them out afterwards but uses them to pay her bills.
I myself communicated with the airline up to an approval. After that, the airline hasn't even responded to emails for several months.
The organizers should pay attention here. With our tour operator or travel agency, however, you only get the statement that they are not responsible for this and that you have to claim and enforce your rights yourself.
Unfortunately, with package tours, you also have no options to choose the airline freely, since even if flights are planned with a specific airline, another airline can still carry out the flight as an alternative.

We were also stuck there at that time. And I have had the same experience as Michael Mittermaier in his comment. I was at the travel agency who said that I should contact TUI. I did so and they said that I had to contact the airline directly because TUI would not and could not help me. I then wrote an email to smartlynx and also got a reply saying that they should check all of this and that I should ask them to give them 45 days to do so. No sooner said than done last week I wrote to you again to see what was going on, and promptly received an email saying that it would no longer exist. So I searched the internet and found 4 different email addresses and sent my email out again to each one with the statement that I would give them 1 week and if I didn't hear anything I would let my lawyer go, but no chance so far not a word heard.
