Klagenfurt Airport has reorganized its supervisory board following its return to public ownership. The chairman is now Martin Payer, general director of the state holding company K-BV. Three more people have been added to the control committee.

The new deputy chairman is the travel entrepreneur Andrea Springer, who is the full-time managing director of the tour operator Springer Reisen, and Anton Bucek, who headed the supervisory board of Salzburg Airport for many years.

Also new to the supervisory board of Klagenfurt Airport: Gerhard Widman. This supervisory board member was managing director of Graz Airport for many years before retiring at the end of 2020.

According to KBV boss Martin Payer, additional flight routes for the 2023 summer flight schedule will be presented in December 2024, i.e. before Christmas. However, the head of the supervisory board of Klagenfurt Airport has not yet provided any further details. However, he did indicate that 46 hectares of land that was not considered operationally necessary could be utilized. He emphasized that an international airport planner should help to utilize them without having to sell them.
