Klagenfurt Airport is looking for a new managing director. This would go to Maximilian Wildt, who was appointed on an interim basis in June of this year. This is the regular tender that was announced by politicians a few months ago.

Shortly after the public sector (the state of Carinthia via K-BV and the city of Klagenfurt) once again held the majority in Austria's smallest commercial airport, the management that was still in place under Lilihill was dismissed. Maximilian Wildt was then introduced as interim managing director.

The current Klagenfurt boss most recently worked for the airline caterer Do & Co. Previously, he was active at Carinthia Airport, among other things, in recruiting airlines. The first move to Klagenfurt Airport was from Laudamotion, where Wildt worked for some time.

During the comeback at Carinthia Airport, the supervisory board communicated clearly that Maximilian Wildt had been appointed as interim managing director and that the formal advertisement, which would result in a permanent appointment of an applicant, would not be issued for a few weeks. That's exactly what happened now.

Wildt will most likely apply for the position he currently holds on a temporary basis. It is completely unclear whether he will also get the contract. In any case, applications will be accepted from anyone who is interested in the job and can demonstrate the required minimum qualifications or professional experience. In a few weeks, the supervisory board will announce the decision and either appoint Wildt permanently or introduce a new managing director.
