Klagenfurt Airport will continue to be managed by Maximilian Wildt, who will be introduced as interim managing director in mid-2023. The manager was able to prevail in a public tender.
At the general meeting, the owner representatives decided to extend it until the end of 2028. “I congratulate Maximilian Wildt on his appointment. In recent months he has brought stability and professionalism back to Klagenfurt Airport after very turbulent times. I am confident that with him at the helm, all efforts will continue to be invested in the core business, namely flight operations. Klagenfurt Airport is a central infrastructure facility for Carinthia. Now it’s about working with the new management to make it successful again and prepare it for the future,” said Deputy Governor Martin Gruber (ÖVP).
“I would like to thank the owner representatives for the trust they have placed in me and look forward to working intensively with my committed team to lead Klagenfurt Airport into a successful future. Even though we are facing major challenges, I am absolutely convinced of the potential of our airport,” said Maximilian Wildt, Managing Director at the airport.
Maximilian Wildt took up his position as Managing Director of Klagenfurt Airport at the beginning of July 2023 with a contract limited to the end of 2023. He was successful in a public tender conducted by HILL International Klagenfurt.
