The satellite terminal at Munich Airport has been in operation for several years. Until recently, the Munich regional court was still occupied with construction and planning. The long-standing legal dispute has now been comparatively settled.
In 2016, the satellite assigned to Terminal Complex 2 became operational. As a result, handling capacity has increased significantly. The building is connected to the main building of T2 by an underground railway. However, there were disputes between the client and the planning office.
Both parties to the dispute have sued each other. The terminal company accused construction defects and withheld part of the agreed funds. The result of this was that a countersuit arose, which was intended to recover the funds. In total, around 28 million euros were disputed.
A settlement has now been concluded before the 11th Civil Chamber of the Munich Regional Court. According to the court's announcement, in which details of the content were not communicated, this stipulates that all claims are compared alternately. This ends the years-long legal dispute with an agreement without a verdict.
