According to its own statements, Nuremberg Airport has more Balkan destinations than ever before. With Eurowings Europe and GP Aviation, two carriers offer the destination Pristina, with the latter airline carrying out the first flight on Saturday.

Wizz Air is also expanding its route network and will start the Nuremberg-Tirana connection on July 5th. This means that eight destinations in the Balkans can be reached non-stop for the first time. Other destinations are Banja Luka and Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zadar in Croatia, Belgrade in Serbia, Sofia in Bulgaria and Skopje in North Macedonia.

Eurowings will fly between Nuremberg and Pristina from April 10, 2022. It is currently planned that two circulations per week should be carried out. The Wizz Air connection to Tirana will start on July 5, 2022.

"Albania is developing from an insider tip to a trend destination," says Wizz Air spokeswoman Zsuzsa Trubek, summarizing the growing importance of the once closed country for Western European visitors. The new route will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
