On November 16th, Vienna Airport conducted a successful crisis exercise in which the handling of a highly infectious disease in a flight passenger was staged.

The exercise was carried out by various actors. Vienna Airport, the Austrian airline Austrian Airlines and several health authorities successfully completed this exercise. The aim of the exercise is clear: the regular implementation of such exercises is primarily intended to strengthen the cooperation between the actors involved. However, these exercises are just as important for training the tactical approach to medical emergencies.
