The Japanese All Nippon Airways will not return to Vienna-Schwechat until at least June 30, 2022. The carrier announced that the route offered before the corona pandemic from Tokyo-Haneda remains suspended.

ANA does not give an exact date for the resumption. Although July 1, 2022 is being evaluated, this date was not given as a binding date. In addition to Vienna, Düsseldorf flights are also suspended. In Frankfurt am Main, on the other hand, the offer is being increased.

Shortly after the start of the corona pandemic, All Nippon Airways temporarily suspended passenger flights between Haneda and Vienna. The resumption was announced again and again, but then “something” – in the form of tightened entry and quarantine regulations – always intervened. Japan practices particularly strict rules when entering the country and – apart from a few exceptions – mainly only allows its own citizens and people with a residence permit into the country.
