To mark the 10th anniversary of the non-stop connection between London (Heathrow) and Austin, British Airways is launching a specially created barbecue sauce. This comes from a renowned restaurant in the Texas capital.

The airline announced that business class passengers will each receive a bottle from March 3, 2024 (anniversary day). Currently, the sauce is only scheduled to be served on the Austin route in March 2024. According to our own information, it is supposed to be a limited edition.

The “BA-BQ Sauce” was created by Frankie's Barbecue Restaurant, located in downtown Texas, on behalf of British Airways. Matching BBQ menus are also available in business class on board flights from Austin to Heathrow. "The menu will showcase the rich and flavorful flavors of Austin's barbecue tradition, offering customers a culinary delight that pays homage to the city's famous barbecue culture and brings the essence of this vibrant city to the skies," said British Airways.

“We are excited to celebrate a decade of connecting Austin and London,” said Calum Laming, British Airways Chief Customer Officer. “At British Airways we are committed to providing our customers with an exceptional and original experience and we are always looking for new ways to achieve this. Bringing the flavors of Austin to the skies with this special menu is a way for us to celebrate this remarkable city and say thank you for the support we've received over the last 10 years. And we can’t wait for our customers to enjoy our limited-edition bottles of Franklin Barbecue Original BBQ Sauce.”
