Dortmund Airport will erect a new building for the Dortmund Police Headquarters on the area of the current P3 car park. The airport acts as the client and the executive will then move in as the tenant.

After an award procedure lasting almost two years, the airport was awarded the contract as the new landlord and builder. The new building is intended to relieve the spatial situation of the Dortmund police on Markgrafenstrasse in the city center.

“We are delighted that, after a long process, we were awarded the contract and that in future we will be able to rent a building that we will build according to the wishes of the police. In the award procedure, it was not only the extremely good infrastructural location that was convincing, but also the ideas and concepts of our total takeover company ZECH Bau SE ”, says Dietmar Krohne, Head of Facility Management and Project Manager at Dortmund Airport. "The turnkey construction of the police service building is attractive for us, above all because of the rental contract with the Dortmund police for three decades."

“We thank you and are proud that, after good and intensive award negotiations, Dortmund Airport has expressed its confidence in us and entrusted us with the planning and construction of this special building with a total takeover contract. In addition, we are delighted to be able to contribute and expand our expertise with regard to the special requirements of police buildings in this exciting task with our project partner, the Nattler Architects, ”explains Heinrich Schulze, branch manager of Zech Bau SE in Essen.
