From Düsseldorf, Eurowings will start non-stop connections to Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Tbilisi in July 2021. According to their own information, they are heading to both countries for the first time under EW flight numbers. Germanwings has had Moscow-Vnukovo in its range in the past.

According to Eurowings, the new routes are aimed at so-called "ethnic traffic", i.e. family and home visits. The carrier has already started flights to Beirut and Erbil in this segment. One sees an increasing demand. The three additional connections are to be served with aircraft of the type Airbus A320.
