The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings Discover will be adding a number of medium-haul destinations from Frankfurt am Main at the beginning of the winter flight planning period 2021/22. These are to be operated primarily with the Airbus A320 machine type.
The destinations Marrakech and Tenerife South will kick off on October 31, 2021. Both destinations are to be served four times a week. One day later, Eurowings Discover plans to fly to Fuerteventura for the first time. This destination is to be served twice a week.
From November 2, 2021, Las Palmas will be on the flight schedule five times a week. Hurghada will go twice a week from November 3, 2021. The first flight to Lanzarote is scheduled to take place one day later. This destination should also be headed for twice a week. The Egyptian Marsa Alam will be served once a week from November 5, 2021.
Eurowings Discover was founded as the Lufthansa Group's new leisure airline. Initially, only long-haul destinations will be served with the Airbus A330 aircraft. With the start of the winter flight schedule, the route network is also being expanded to include medium-haul destinations. To this end, some Airbus A320s from group stocks are being floated in.
