Unlike other airports, Münster/Osnabrück Airport was already able to match the pre-crisis level in the current summer season. The airport was able to exceed the figures for the pre-Corona year 2019.

Münster/Osnabrück Airport, known as FMO for short, was able to make significant improvements during the current summer period. Since the start of vacation, which began towards the end of June, the airline has been able to count 250.000 passengers, which corresponds to an increase of 10 percent in relation to the same period last year. In contrast to other airports, the FMO was also able to achieve an improvement of around 2019 percent in relation to the pre-Corona year 19. After some time, the airport in question was able to build on the pre-crisis level and even surpass it, as the concrete figures can prove. Looking back at the month of July alone, the passenger numbers are impressive: the airport was able to handle 133.000 passengers in July alone. The destinations of Mallorca and Antalya, but also destinations such as those on the Greek islands, were able to boost demand.
