Lufthansa flew the Airbus A380 with the registration D-AIMH from Frankfurt am Main on Tuesday morning. It is the last machine of this type that was still parked on the home base.

This means that Lufthansa has flown all 14 Airbus A380s to Long Time Storage. The D-AIMH is now in Teruel, Spain. This super jumbo was last used on March 6, 2020 on the San Francisco-Munich route.

It is unclear whether the crane group will ever reactivate the A380 fleet. Company boss Carsten Spohr has repeatedly said that he considers this step extremely unlikely. The comeback is not entirely out of the question. All 14 Lufthansa Airbus A380s are now waiting for better times in the Long TIme Storage.
