At the moment, the number of flights at Friedrichshafen Airport is very tight due to the corona pandemic. Nevertheless, for security reasons, the airport must take precautions in the arrival and departure areas.

These will be carried out in February at the western and northern ends of the airport site - along the fair feeder, on Allmannsweiler Bach and Allmannsweilerstraße. According to the Aviation Act, Bodensee-Airport Friedrichshafen is obliged to ensure that there are no obstacles in the approach and departure areas. In the past few years, tall trees that protrude into the open air space have therefore been cut back accordingly.

The necessary work was coordinated in advance with the city of Friedrichshafen and the Bodenseekreis district office. Appropriate official approval is available. A detailed assessment and assessment by the Office for Landscape Ecology was carried out in advance with the aim of avoiding unnecessary interference with flora and fauna. The work is expected to be completed by the end of February.
