The Zeitfracht subsidiary German Airways is expanding the Embraer 190 fleet by four more aircraft. Three regional jets are to be taken over this year and the fourth E190 has been announced for 2023.

German Airways emerged from WDL and is the second oldest airline in Germany. Currently, the fleet used for passenger flights consists of five leased Embraer 190s. Taking into account the upcoming additions, nine examples of this type will then be operated.

“We expect the upswing in our industry and see a great need for our 100-seat jets. We can benefit in the market from the excellent reputation that we have worked hard to earn even during the crisis: We are known in the industry as a very reliable and, above all, flexible, customer-oriented service provider with great know-how,” explains German Airways Managing Director Maren Wolters.
