The Zeitfracht subsidiary German Airways (formerly: WDL) is to fly with two Embraer 190s for the startup Green Airlines in the future. One machine each is to be stationed in Paderborn and Groningen. The client is not an airline, but a company that charters aircraft and markets the seats at their own risk.

“We are very pleased to now have the second oldest German airline on board. The company stands for a modern fleet, great reliability, a lot of flexibility and professional and motivated employees. Together we want to use our chance in the resurgent air traffic in Germany and make air traffic more sustainable ”, says Green Airlines boss Stefan Auwetter.

The virtual airline originally wanted to start on the Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden-Berlin route. Due to the corona pandemic, this project was put on the back burner. From Paderborn you can now offer Sylt. These flights are operated by the French Chalair with ATR72-500.
