Noticeably more life will return at Innsbruck Airport from Thursday, as the shops and restaurants are celebrating their comeback. These have been closed in the last few months due to the low number of passengers and, in some cases, official restrictions.

Since the end of May, with the start of holiday flights to Greece, Italy and Spain, life has returned to the airport. The booking situation for the flights on offer shows that people are longing for a vacation and that the tour operators' offers are very well received.

From July 01, 2021, the shops and restaurants at the airport can open their doors again. First and foremost the small MPREIS supermarket on the ground floor of the terminal, which has slowly resumed operations in June and is now open from Monday to Sunday from July 01st as follows: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 00 p.m. Saturday 17 a.m.-00 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-00 p.m.

“Not only will the passengers and visitors to the airport benefit from the reopening of our branch at the airport, but also the people who live nearby and would like to get our products on Sundays, for example. We are therefore very pleased to be able to take up this offer again, ”said David Mölk, Managing Director of MPREIS.

The bakery Ruetz also opens again for the time being on the weekend from 06:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday). The airport restaurant Fly Inn takes care of the physical well-being of its guests on Monday, Wednesday, Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday (from 10:00 a.m.), and the Travel Value Shop (after the security check) enables passengers to shop before departure.

The Deputy Airport director and authorized signatory Patrick Dierich is very pleased about the openings: "In addition to the increasing number of flights, it is nice to see the airport as a location more lively again."
