Iran announced that it would open up to international tourism again from November 2021. In April 2020, the borders were largely closed due to the corona pandemic. This should now be canceled.
The crisis led to tourism in Iran almost collapsing. Due to sanctions, the state is dependent on travelers' foreign currency. The prerequisite for entry will be that you can prove that you have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
In the next few weeks, the government of Iran wants to publish the detailed entry requirements. It is currently unclear whether a negative PCR test must also be presented in addition to proof of vaccination.
