With Leipzig, the airline Air Moldova is taking on a third German destination. This will initially be served twice a week from August 16, 2022.

According to the carrier, they initially want to fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If there is sufficient demand, a third round will be added. Leipzig will be the third city served by Air Moldova from Chisinau. So far, the company is present in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

The carrier's fleet currently consists of five aircraft. These are two Airbus A321, one A320 and two A319. Air Moldova was founded in 1993. According to its own information, Chisinau has a market share of 50 percent.
