Linz-Hörsching Airport places a particular focus on Greece. But other travel destinations can also be found in the preliminary flight plan.

In just a few weeks, the first machines should take off heading south, with the management level aiming for May. In the best case scenario, 18 holiday fliers should take off from Upper Austria every week. It's all about the Whitsun weekend, he said ORF. For the airport, this is one of the highlights before the summer vacation.

The director of the airport, Norbert Draskovits, says: “It will certainly not be completely normal. Our 18 holiday flights have also been reduced a little. But we have all the essential destinations with us: both the large Greek islands and the small ones. "

It is no coincidence that there is increasing focus on Greek holiday destinations. “Of course, based on last year's experience, we focused heavily on Greece. The process there already worked well last year - at the airports and also in the hotels. And that's why the focus this year is on these destinations, ”says Draskovits. He also assumes an FFP2 mask requirement in airplanes.
