The wet lease cooperation between German Airways and Luxair will be continued and expanded in the 2023 summer flight schedule. D-ACJJ will continue to fly in the livery of the Luxembourg carrier and will wet-lease a second Embraer 2023 in summer 190.

German Airways intends, among other things, due to the good order situation further expand the fleet. Two Embraer 2023s will be used for Luxair in the 190 summer flight schedule. The second machine will also carry the client's livery and will be used on various routes within Europe in Luxembourg.

“This is a huge achievement for our team. I would like to thank our flying colleagues in particular, who have proven themselves to Luxair passengers every day. My thanks also go to the operational Luxair teams, who have implemented this cooperation with impressive commitment and professionalism," says German Airways Managing Director Maren Wolters.

This means that Luxair is now also part of our portfolio of regular customers among the airlines in Europe who always have access to the support of German Airways - just like British Airways, Air France or the new Italian Ita Airways.

“The partnership with German Airways has allowed Luxair to cope with the unexpected increase in demand at the beginning of the summer. That would not have been possible with our own capacities. In a very challenging year for European aviation, Luxair has proven itself and is confident about a no less challenging year 2023," explains Luxair boss Gilles Feith.
